Placed Announces Closing of $3.4m Series A, and Placed for Developers
March 15, 2012 - Placed, Inc., www.placed.com , formerly known as Sewichi, announces the closing of a $3.4m Series A round of funding, and details on its solution for location analytics, Placed for Developers.
The $3.4m Series A for Placed was led by Madrona Venture Group, along with participation from Shane Atchison, CEO of Possible Worldwide, a WPP Digital Company, and Founder David Shim. Matt McIlwain, Managing Director at Madrona has joined the Board of Directors as part of Madrona’s investment.

In addition to the funding announcement, Placed for the first time is providing details on their first offering, Placed for Developers.

To date Placed for Developers has processed 851 million raw locations and today we are excited to take the first step in opening up Placed for Developers by accepting requests for access from App Developers," said David Shim, Founder and CEO of Placed.

Prior to joining Placed, Andrea was the Director of Client Services at Quantcast, where she built out and managed the client services group. Additionally, Nick Gerner has been promoted to Director of Engineering with the focus of managing a growing engineering organization and the scalability of Placed for Developers.
