Placed Releases Location Analytics for Mobile Websites

Placed solidifies leadership status in location analytics by introducing mobile web measurement and adding Razorfish CMO to Advisory Board

Placed, Inc. announced today that it is expanding its reach in location analytics with the introduction of mobile web measurement, and the addition of Jeff Lanctot, Global CMO of Razorfish to its Advisory Board.

Mobile website owners can now join application owners in utilizing Placed Nearby to understand the places people were nearby when interacting with their content. With this announcement, Placed Analytics expands the platforms it supports beyond Android and iOS to include the mobile web.

Placed Nearby enables mobile websites to understand the businesses people were nearby when visiting their site. In an early implementation of Placed Nearby, a mobile website found that 10.64% of site visits occurred nearby businesses categorized as Banking, and 8.51% of site visits happened while the user was nearby a Starbucks. Websites can now start to tailor content, features, and advertising based on the businesses people were nearby when visiting their site.

Additionally, the early adopters of Placed Nearby are also the same developers embracing HTML5 as an alternative to native app development," said Shim.
