Founder & CEO
David is the Founder and CEO of Placed. Previously David held the roles of Director of Product and Operations at Quantcast. As Director of Product he drove Quantcast Marketer from idea to an audience platform used by over 300+ advertisers across 6 billion actions a month. David pivoted to Director of Operations as part of the launch of Quantcast Lookalikes the primary revenue generating product for the company.
Prior to Quantcast, David has held leadership roles at WebTrends, and Farecast (acquired by Microsoft in 2008). Two out of the last 4 companies David has worked at have either had "cast" in the name, or were acquired by Microsoft. David ranks #1 on Google for "Third Party Ad Serving".Close
SVP of Sales
Aaron Johnston joins us from DoubleClick / Google, where he spent over fifteen years developing and managing strategic commercial partnerships with agencies, advertisers, and publishers. His experience ranges from email marketing and web analytics to rich media and programmatic buying platforms. Most recently Aaron led a team responsible for strategic advertising agency partnerships and over $300 million in annual revenue across the DoubleClick product suite. Prior to DoubleClick he held various roles at KPMG and IBM. Originally from Austin, Aaron attended the University of Texas and later transferred to St. Edward’s University where he received his B.S. in Computer Science. He later went on to receive a business certificate from Columbia University in New York.
Outside of work Aaron can be found rooting for his Texas Longhorns, chasing a seemingly elusive lower golf score, and spending time with his new baby daughter.Close
SVP of Operations
Jim is SVP of Strategy & Operations at Placed. Jim brings 15+ years of experience from the digital and mobile marketing industry and is tasked with helping Place scale. Prior to Placed, Jim led SPARQ, a Seattle based mobile marketing technology start-up to an eventual acquisition by Yahoo!. He also held executive roles at both Microsoft and aQuantive. Jim holds a BA and MBA from the University of Washington and is the proud father of three very active boys.Close
VP of Operations
Andrea's background is in digital advertising and analytics. Prior to joining Placed, she was Director of Client Services at Quantcast. As the second hire on the Operations team, she was responsible for building out and scaling the Client Services organization as the company's revenue and client base grew exponentially. While at Quantcast, she was a key contributor to the launch of several products, including Marketer, and Lookalikes, as well as the company's expansion into the UK market.
Before Quantcast, Andrea worked at WebTrends. She holds a degree in marketing and psychology from Tulane University.Close
VP of Data Science
Weilie is a researcher and engineer who enjoys applying data mining and machine learning techniques to solving complex real world problems. He joined Placed from Kiha Software where he worked on semantic search and location modeling. Before that Weilie was on Microsoft Bing's core relevance team, focusing on user intent understanding and search result optimization. He also contributed to Windows' Natural User Interface concepts and Office's digital ink technologies.
Weilie received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Rochester.Close
VP of Analytics
Over the past twelve years, Elliott Waldron has practiced the application of quantitative analysis to solving a number of real-world business problems from airfare prediction to financial prediction. Prior to joining Placed, Elliott was Managing Partner and Cofounder at L1 Partners, a Seattle-based hedge fund that used machine learning to trade financial futures. Prior to L1, he played a key role in developing the world's first airfare prediction service at Farecast.
Elliott Waldron earned a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a BA in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound.Close
VP of Engineering
Aaron is a long-time industry veteran, who was most recently SVP of Product and Technology for digital media holding company CPXi, leading the engineering and product efforts across all parts of the ad-tech ecosystem. Prior to that, he served as CTO for demand-side buying platform AdReady (prior to their acquisition by CPXi), as Senior Software Development Manager for Cisco Systems via their acquisition of Pure Networks, and was a Lead Software Design Engineer for Microsoft.
Aaron was born and raised in Michigan before attending Washington University in St. Louis and then making his way out to Seattle.Close
VP of Product
Nick is an engineer interested in big data. He's worked at Cornell University, Microsoft, SEOMoz, Kiha, and now Placed. At SEOMoz Nick engineered the API that now services millions of requests to in-house and partner applications across the SEO industry every day. At Kiha Software Nick was Director of Data Services, running a team of engineers tasked with gathering and managing email and social media communications.
Nick got his master's degree from Cornell University. Outside Placed, Nick works on several other projects including contributing patches for the open source Dynamic Window Manager for X, and Four Thirty-Six, an online Seattle event aggregator, among other projects in his Github profile.Close
Lead Software Engineer
Brad joined Placed as its second employee after graduating from the University of Washington in 2011. He has done development on most of Placed's products, ranging from data ingestion and analytics to mobile and web development. Brad now leads the Web Team at Placed, which is responsible for the company's web applications and supporting services.
Brad loves to travel, whether that's to a foreign country or a local brewery in his neighborhood!Close
Lead Software Engineer
George has a passion for artificial intelligence and data analytics, and has pioneered innovations like 'Open View', a review summarization engine at Marchex, and a Data Recommendation Engine for Microsoft's SQL Azure Cloud Services.
He has his Masters in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and has made strong contributions to many leading companies over the past 12 years including TATA InfoTech, Sallie Mae, Marchex and Microsoft. Outside of the office George is also an ardent musician who records music in his home studio and plays the lead guitar for a Seattle based Classic Rock Band.Close
Director of Engineering
After graduating from Purdue University, Jeremy joined Agilent Technologies where he led a team implementing next generation distributed measurement standards. Next, he moved to Shanghai, China where he taught middle school children, studied Mandarin, and traveled the countryside. After landing in Seattle, he joined Evri, a startup in the news aggregation industry. There, he was the Engineering Manager for the company's backend infrastructure.
Outside of the office, Jeremy spends time biking, camping, and brewing beer.Close
Michael Grebeck is a Scientist with a strong background in statistics, stochastic optimization, and machine learning. Prior to joining Placed, he was an Applied Researcher in online search and display advertising at Advertising.com and Microsoft. He worked on many topics including marketplace architecture, auction bidding strategies, and exploration versus exploitation problems.
Grebeck holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and Probability from UCSB. He also studied Control and Dynamical Systems at Caltech and as a Fulbright Fellow at Lund University.Close
Director of Sales
Eric Warddrip is the Director of Sales at Placed. Previously Eric held the role of Vice President, West Coast Sales for Sporting News Digital, where he was responsible for digital media revenue across their web, mobile, and tablet platforms. Eric has over 13 years of digital sales and management experience, opening sales offices for SportsIllustrated.com and FOXSports.com, and leading the west coast sales team for FOX Sports Digital. Additionally, Eric held the position of Senior Director of Sales for sports blog start up Yardbarker, where he grew and managed all national ad revenue through their acquisition by FOX Sports Digital in 2010.Close
Marcus Collins comes from a background bringing quantitative and machine learning approaches to problems in biophysics. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University in 2006, where he applied clustering approaches to understanding how proteins deform under high pressures. In the years since then, he has applied machine learning and statistical approaches to design and analysis of experiments in ion channel and pain signaling research.
Marcus is a Northwest native, and enjoys the special environment here, having climbed and skied many of the major peaks in Washington.Close
John comes with experience from a diverse set of advertising practices. Earlier in his career he worked at UM on Verizon’s national media strategy with a focus on traditional mediums, later moving to Zenith to work on Verizon’s local media strategy. Since then he has moved into the advertising technology space where he has worked at two innovative Seattle startups; Mixpo and PrecisionDemand.
At PrecisionDemand he was an Account Director on the client services team, pioneering the way to attributing linear TV advertising to retail and online sales. PrecisionDemand has since been acquired by AOL/adap.tv. At Mixpo, John was team lead of the new agency business channel. While there he defined and deployed a scalable business process to service the high volume of inbound agency campaign requests.Close
Senior Software Engineer
Suma enjoys the challenges of scale in the context of building systems for big data. Prior to joining Placed, she worked at Microsoft where she was on teams that built distributed BI systems, and web services for securing and searching structured data in the cloud. Prior to that, she built grid systems at the University of Florida.
Suma has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University. Outside of work she enjoys reading and hiking.Close
Sara San Antonio
App Marketing Specialist
Sara has been a freelance graphic designer since she was 16 creating logos for non-profits and small start up companies. she graduated from the University of Washington a year ago and went to work at a small user-generated ad company called Zooppa.com before joining Placed.Close
Lead Software Engineer in Test
Shelby is an engineer with a passion for quality and automated testing. Prior to joining Placed she worked at Deutsche Bank where she increased automated testing reliability on several projects and also mentored junior QA interested in test automation. Prior to that she worked at several companies adding automated test coverage and improving software quality practices.
While not at work Shelby likes riding her bike, exploring all the beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest and reading. She is also a 3rd degree blackbelt in karate.Close
Leslie Van Buren
Leslie comes to Placed from the world of performance marketing. After developing an interest in statistical analysis via research assistantships in college, she worked in paid search, affiliate, and most recently spent four years in account management for programmatic display companies specializing in retargeting. She was the first account manager brought on to Criteo’s US headquarters in New York, where she built multi-year relationships with the company’s most complex and technically demanding clients. She also redesigned and grew the account team training program and was responsible for onboarding and mentoring new hires while helping to take the company public.
Leslie loves facilitating collaborative client relationships centered around analyzing data and solving problems together. She is most likely not related to the eighth president of the United States. In her personal time she likes to teach herself home repair techniques and is an active TNR volunteer.Close
Senior Software Engineer
Rob graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with degrees in Computer Engineering and Computational Physics. He spent 7 years as an engineer at Microsoft working on low level OS components and developer tools before branching out into the startup world. He joined Placed after a stint building financial web services and apps for local businesses.
Outside of work, Rob enjoys reading, running, and spending time with his wife and three young children.Close
Lead Software Engineer
Daniel is passionate about building powerful software. Prior to joining Placed, he worked for several years at Microsoft developing Wi-Fi device drivers and various other parts of the networking stack. He also co-founded an early-stage startup building financial web services for local businesses.
Daniel grew up in New Hampshire and holds both a BS and Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and traveling to distant places.Close

Sherwin graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Marketing and Information Systems. He has taken part in several internships where he assisted in creating social media campaigns, multicultural event planning, and building consumer engagement initiatives.

Keshav is an applied statistician interested in finding and using patterns while exploring varied topics. Prior to joining Placed, he worked in the actuarial department of AIG. He recently obtained his Masters in Statistical Practice from Carnegie Mellon University, where he previously earned his BS in Mathematics as well as minors in Biology, Physics, and Computational Finance.

Carly was born and raised in New Jersey, earning her degree in Marketing at the Rutgers University Business School. Prior to joining Placed, she worked in Sales and Account Management at News America Marketing, focusing on consumer promotions for CPG manufacturers, Quick Service Restaurants and an assortment of retailers. She is passionate about data and is excited to dive into the world of digital advertising!

After starting his career at Microsoft, Brenden worked at several startups before joining Placed, most recently RichRelevance, where he worked on an A/B test framework. A Seattle native, Brenden enjoys cooking, hiking, and board games. He has a B.S. in physics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.Close
Andrew leverages spatial data and techniques to explore the world. His passion was born at Middlebury College, where he earned a B.A. in Geography and a deep respect for Vermont winters. Before joining Placed, Andrew spent three years solving problems related in-store mobile retail at Point Inside.
Andrew co-organizes several open source geospatial groups, including Maptime Seattle and Cascadia Users of Geospatial Open Source. When not behind a computer, you can find him wandering in the mountains.Close
Cary graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in both Computer Science and Mathematics. He has worked at Google as a software engineer, where he also interned as an undergraduate. During his time at Google, Cary was on the content ads team and focused on ad relevancy and a project to predict contextual relevancy of publisher pages.
Cary is a native of Redmond, where he currently resides. He enjoys running, tennis, chess, and video games.Close
Angel graduated from University of Washington with a major in Computer Science. Studying programming for 4 years, she developed an interest on machine learning, database and parallel programming. To get a hands-on experience, she helped a research funded by Boeing by shortening the running time of the program from hours to a matter of minutes. Meanwhile, she has also interned at a New York company called Caktus Inc. as an iOS Software Enginner. In between her class schedules, she also worked as a web freelancer for 3.5 years.
Angel was born and raised in Indonesia. She loves to explore the nature, read books, try new foods, listen to music, sing and finally stay at home watching Netflix.Close
After graduating from University of Washington Bothell with a BS in Computing and Software Systems, Jason worked at a Seattle startup which focused on Cloud based Proactive Care Management where he worked on the integration of 3rd party devices while simultaneously assisting with the development of a customer care team. Jason is a strong customer advocate who is passionate about solving complex technical problems.

Kyle graduated from the University of Washington in 2015 with a degree in Informatics. Last year Kyle interned at Redfin where he worked on their data team, helping to find interesting and effective ways to utilize real estate data. Kyle was also a teacher's assistant for eleven quarters in the Computer Science department while at UW.
Kyle is a life-long Seattle resident and a huge fan of the Seahawks and the Mariners. He also plays bass guitar and loves going to concerts in the area.Close
Liz has a background focused in the advertising agency space. Prior to joining Placed, Liz was Director of Data Integration for AT&T at MEC Global (a WPP Company). It was at MEC that Liz rapidly became a leader for teams in Competitive Analytics and Market Mixed Modeling across online and offline media. Before MEC, Liz was a lead buyer in the out-of-home space, focusing her time on Walmart and Capital One Bank. Liz holds degrees in Marketing, International Business, and Spanish from Northeastern University and led the dual-degree program for International Business with Universidad de las Americas in Mexico.
Liz enjoys cooking, taking in the beach, and gardening, along with roads trips to her childhood home in New Hampshire.Close
Farah's background is in digital advertising. Prior to joining Placed, Farah was the Director of Global Managed Services at Operative. She was a key player in helping to build and grow their services team with a focus on creating process, building efficiency, and developing long-term and strategic client relationships. Farah graduated from New York University with a degree in Economics and Psychology.Close
Eric brings over 5 years of Controller experience and a passion for technology. After starting his career in finance at Intel, Eric worked at several start-ups and growth-stage firms, most recently as a Controller for CommerceHub. Prior to that, Eric was the Controller at a software company in Austin, TX. Eric is a CPA candidate in Washington State and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
Outside of the office, you will most often find Eric hiking and camping in the Cascades or on the Olympic Peninsula.Close
Data Analyst, Insights & Analytics
Rob graduated from Marquette University in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Applied Economics. This program focused on the analysis of statistical models using economic theory. In the summer of 2014, he interned at MillerCoors on the Commodity Risk Management team where he learned the fundamentals of price hedging methods.
In his free time, Rob enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and playing sports. He is passionate about the Seahawks and the Marquette basketball team.Close
Manager, Insights & Analytics
A data dweeb at heart, Jessica's love for turning formulas into actionable stories landed her in market research. Prior to joining Placed, Jessica worked at Yahoo leading mobile and native research efforts to help the company capitalize on consumer trends and drive thought leadership. She also played a key role in agency research partnerships. Jessica's major recent studies at Yahoo include The Balancing Act: Getting Personalization Right, followed by Yahoo/IPG's Going Deeper: What Consumers Really Want from Ad Personalization, and the Shift to Smartphone Dominance. Previous to her time at Yahoo, Jessica worked at Compete (now MillwardBrown Digital) on the Data & Research team to lead international expansion efforts. Jessica holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Northeastern in Boston, MA.Close
Quality Assurance Engineer
Tech support for windows started Tom down a path for quality. Over the next 15 years Tom learned and earned from all the major companies on the east side in order to expand his capabilities as an engineer in test and in feedback for product design.
When not breaking software Tom spends time with his family, playing games of all types and formats, and digital art.Close
Senior Data Scientist
Louisa is a researcher with a background in signal processing and mobile ad hoc networks. Prior to joining Placed, she was a Research Engineer at Stanford Research Institute analyzing data for various departments and leading a team toward creating a decentralized, peer-to-peer, ad hoc communication network.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, mountaineering, rock climbing, bike-to-camp touring, and belly dancing.Close
Alex is a recent grad from Eastern Washington University. His BS was in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. His first job out of college was as a developer for Alstom/GE Grid. He has a great passion for machine learning and data science and hopes to one day be part of a better world. As a developer he enjoys understanding the context for all code that he touches so that he can leave it cleaner and better than when he first saw it.Close
Senior Software Engineer
With a B.S. in Computer Science from NC State University in hand Dave entered the amazing world of well, Computer Science. Things started out as a Web Developer working with a variety of technologies from digital maps to search marketing. After a brief foray into the backend world of micro services running on AWS, Dave settled into Android Development. It is there where you will find him today.
Outside of the office walls, Dave can be found reading, writing, geeking out about something, or rock climbing. He has yet to do all those things at the same time, but it's really only a matter of time.Close
Jiansong is a researcher who loves solving practical problems using machine learning and data mining techniques. Prior to joining Placed, Jiansong has focused specifically on studying Earth's climate variability and global warming by developing and applying various statistical analysis methods to observational climate data. The results of his research efforts have directly contributed to the understanding of the role of natural phenomena and man-made greenhouse gas emissions to global warming and climate change.
Jiansong earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington.Close
Yevgeniy is a Data Scientist with a background in stochastic modeling, filtering and optimization. He obtained his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2008, where he developed stochastic optimization methods for problems in nonlinear optics. Prior to joining Placed, Yevgeniy worked on stochastic models and filtering methods for tropical atmosphere at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
In his free time, Yevgeniy enjoys hiking, camping and photography.Close
Daphne graduated with a BA in Linguistics and worked as a language teacher and as a technical translator. She was interested in programming from the perspective of natural language processing and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Placed, she was working at a San Francisco startup focusing on web development and AWS.
When not interacting with a computer, Daphne enjoys swimming, playing the piano, biking, and gaming.Close
Gloria started her career in product management at Stanford, where she studied at the d.School and various emerging technology labs. After graduating, she pursued her passion for gaming and data-driven design as a product manager of mobile games. In 2014, while in Seattle for work, she fell in love with the city; shortly thereafter, she found a gig downtown working for The Mouse prior to Placed.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ningyu graduated from New York University in 2015 with a M.A. in Cross Cultural Marketing, focusing on the intersection of culture, beauty, and marketing. Prior to joining Placed, she brainstormed and helped produce creative campaigns at a boutique advertising agency, where she fostered a growing interest in big data and marketing tech.
Ningyu spends her personal time experimenting with new recipes, practicing yoga, and exploring the city one coffee shop at a time.Close

Ting has 20+ years experience as a full stack software developer in various areas including digital advertising, web development, proprietary commercial software, banking, industrial automation, computer animation, and embedded systems.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Wendy gained a passion for numbers and exploring the outdoors. While attending Gonzaga University she focused her interests on rowing, religion, and accounting. After earning her BBA in Accounting, Wendy worked for a growing finance company in Portland supporting the operations and administrative teams. There, she picked up new software and prepared financial data for the Controller. When not crunching numbers, she can be found running, exploring, reading, or sketching.Close

A Chicago native, Rob attended DePaul University, earning his bachelor's degree in marketing. After spending some time post-graduation as a relocation consultant, Rob joined Accuen (OMG's agency trading desk) as a Programmatic Media Buyer where he spent the next two years executing campaigns across all of the major demand side platforms (DSPs). Prior to joining Placed, Rob spent 8 months as the OMD Midwest Trading Lead, where he managed a team of 6 traders.
Outside of work, as well as inside for that matter, Rob is an avid Cubs fan, and also enjoys playing hockey, hiking and skiing.Close

Tanya is a software engineer with a passion for big data analytics and visualization. She joined Placed from PointInside where her team built discovery tools for retail store comparisons. Before that Tanya was at IMDb working on ads, search and data ingestion. Tanya has a PhD in Applied Math from University of Notre Dame.Close
After graduating from Columbia University, Kerry spent 4 years at Amazon working on GameCircle.
Prior to joining Placed, Kerry took a year off to pursue his dream of traveling the world. In his free time, he likes to ski, play ultimate frisbee, and boulder.Close
In a typical millenial fashion, Kyle earned his B.A. in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Washington and used it to start a completely unrelated career in UX/UI design. He obsesses over consumer technology, which fuels his passion for solving complex interaction design problems. Prior to joining Placed, Kyle spent years creating digital experiences for some of the world's largest companies.
When he's not in front of a screen, he enjoys skiing, rock climbing, motorcycling, and corrupting his nieces and nephews.Close
Senior Software Engineer
Patrick graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in computer science. After a short stint at Amazon, he worked for Intentional Software designing domain-specific languages and workbenches that allowed non-programmer domain experts to write their own software. Prior to coming to Placed, he worked as a developer at Hulu on the Living Room Devices team.
An avid competitive bowler, in his spare time Patrick also enjoys reading science fiction, watching ice hockey (go Avs!), oil painting, and camping all over Washington state.Close
Nick is an artist turned programmer. After graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago he was hired as a graphic designer for a small sports apparel startup in Seattle. His interests shifted from design and photography to web and app development. Before starting at Placed he was the lead developer at Cairn, a backcountry safety app.
Nick is an avid outdoorsman; Swimming, biking, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, skiing, if it gets him outdoors, Nick is a fan. During the summer of 2015 he spent 4.5 months hiking the entire 2,600 mile length of the Pacific Crest Trail.Close
Director of User Acquisition
Michael’s background is in all things mobile. Prior to coming to Placed he spent three years at Whitepages where he drove the growth and international expansion of their Caller ID app (10M+ installs, 4M + monthly actives). Before Whitepages Michael found a small ad platform allowing local business to promote real-time deals (back when this was still cool :). He sold this business in 2012.
When Michael is not at work he spends every second with his wife (Nicole), two little boys (Atticus and Oliver), Great Dane (Portia) and standard poodle (Bruin).Close
Greg's background is in digital advertising and brand strategy. Prior to joining Placed Greg was Sr. Strategic Partner Manager at Bazaarvoice, overseeing the Shopper Advertising mobile portfolio. At Bazaarvoice he built one of the largest networks of retail and shopping mobile applications, designed to target native advertising to consumers at the point of product discovery and purchase. Earlier in his career Greg held account leadership roles at Havas and LBi, with focus on digital and social strategies for a variety of spirits, publishing, and entertainment brands.
Greg enjoys cooking, ancient literature, and building and playing guitars. He and his wife are endlessly renovating their 100-year-old house, which they share with their two lively children.Close
Cat moved from New Hampsire to the Pacific Northwest to pursue a degree in Strategic Communications at Seattle Univiersity. While completing her degree, she began working in the music industry for various online music publications and local production companies. After graduating from SU in 2014 she continued her employment at AEG Live as a full-time Marketing Team member. Cat spent the past two years working in marketing and advertising for concerts, festivals, and major music events on the West Coast.
In her free time Cat loves to go to concerts, cook for friends, and spend as much time as possible outdoors.Close
Yihua has a background of biology and neuroscience research. She worked as a research assistant at the University of Washington where her main project was to generate a transgenic mouse strain. Prior to joining Placed, Yihua participated in the Data Science bootcamp at Galvanize.
In her spare time, she enjoys writing non-fiction and playing old-time banjo.Close
Meilene joins Placed with a passion for start-up recruiting in the tech space. She graduates from the University of Washington with a degree in English Language & Literature and minor in Korean Language (though in all honesty, the best she can do at this point is order food). She most recently helped Avvo grow their employee base from 100 to 400+ and is excited to help the Placed team grow!
In her free time, Meilene enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend and cats (she is definitely one of those), brewing her own kombucha and researching/trying a new brunch spot every Sunday. She's also an avid reader; her favorite authors are William Faulkner and Toni Morrison.Close
Andy Pascal has held sales, business development and strategic partnership roles in the digital technology space for more than a decade. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Business Development at Blue State Digital, establishing long-term relationships with brands such as Starbucks, Purina, Royal Caribbean and the New York Mets. Prior to BSD, Andy was an early sales team hire at Foursquare, helping with initial monetization efforts. From 2006 – 2012, Andy was at DoubleClick/Google, creating and maintaining media platform partnerships with national brand marketers and digital agencies.
Andy grew up in Boston and received his BA from the University of Michigan, so he’s always rooting hard for the Patriots and Wolverines! He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, a daughter and a Havanese.Close
Senior Account Manager
Robert's background is in technology and finance. Prior to joining Placed, Robert spent over three years at the Rubicon Project where he worked with publishers to maximize the full stack monetization of their desktop, mobile, in-app, and video inventory. Before Rubicon, he spent more than ten years in Investment Management, in roles ranging from Research Analyst to Portfolio Manager. Robert graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering from Columbia University.
Robert is obsessed with following and playing soccer, he loves to cook, and likes reading and writing.Close
Nate has been working with data for 10 years. He started in government building models to identify unemployment insurance claimants likely to exhaust their benefits, then worked in politics on opinion research and targeting voters, and then worked in technology on creating targeting segments and classifying searches. Nate has a BA and MPP from the University of Michigan.
Nate is a transplant from Michigan. Outside work, Nate enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest and following Michigan sports.Close
Senior Account Manager
Christy earned a degree in Business Communications & International Business from Arizona State University. Upon graduation, Christy stayed in Arizona to work as a Search Marketing Consultant at a digital advertising start-up. She also coached high school lacrosse for two years prior to moving to NYC in 2014, where she joined the Dentsu Aegis agency network as an Account Lead. Throughout her agency experience, Christy serviced CPG, luxury and retail clients across multiple digital channels before joining the Placed team in 2016.
In her spare time, Christy enjoys creating her own "Chopped" challenges, and is determined to keep a garden alive in an NYC apartment. She also enjoys running along the East River, hiking, traveling and spending summers eating ice cream on Long Beach Island.Close
Over the past ten years Mike used statistics and quantitative analysis to understand how the brain process smell and hunger: He found that the brain creates an odor afterimage, analogous to visual afterimages. He designed a Computational Neuroscience B.A. from Case Western, and received a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Duke.
For fun, he makes lists and maps of restaurants he has been to and wants to go to.Close
Software Engineer in Test
Craig is a software engineer and recent grad from Central Washington University where his focus was in Natural Language Programming. After college he worked for eBay as a developer and test automation engineer; Craig recently joined Placed and is looking forward to his future with the company.
